If you have reached this site through curiosity about the Order then read on.

We Buffs are a friendly bunch who meet once or twice a week in Lodges all over the UK and other countries.

To be a member you have to be male and over 18. There is no upper age limit. Please don’t think we discriminate against females as they have their own section which is know as "Lady Glades".

We are not a political or religious order - in fact neither topic is discussed in our meetings. Nor do we discriminate from any Race or Creed as long as you are a true and loyal supporter of our Monarch; after all we are the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes.

Basically we meet up in a room (known as a Lodge), normally in a pub or club.

Our order is of a charitable nature both in Lodge at a local level and in Grand Lodge on a national level.

We are a friendly society and normally have a bit of fun as well as the more serious side of business and ceremony.

Once you are a member of the Order you can attend a Lodge anywhere you wish. I myself have visited well over 100 different Lodges in the UK and abroad and always enjoyed myself and been made to feel very welcome.

If you are doing your family tree and you have come across a relative's jewels (medals) or an old photograph I might even be able to help a little on that.
