We were the first guests, paying and not on convalescence. It is brilliant, the best step the Order has taken in a long time. We were treated like Royalty. Ok I have only just re-joined the group and so this report is late but since our stay the House manager has been dismissed. It is a pity as he was a nice chap but had his problems. All of which will be revealed at the appropriate time.( Grand Lodge I suspect) The new Manager though is a gem and I have no doubt she will make an excellent job of it. The local lodges are friendly, the PGSec. second to none, and the local 'Round Robin' trip via Steam, Ferry, Riverboat & open top bus is a must. Easily worth the package, all of it. Give it a try.

Christmas at Britney House 2007!
I was privileged to spend three days at Britney House over the Christmas period as a paying guest with my wife Tricia. If was fantastic! The staff, Janet, Brian, David, Lee and the two excellent chefs and the waitresses made this an experience to remember. I shall definitely be going back in the New Year.
It was wonderful to be in the company of so many brothers, their wifes and partners. It was like going into a Lodge or Glade where everyone was so friendly and wanted to know you. I made some excellent friends.
Britney is suitable for wheel chair users, there is a lift to all floors and it is warm and comfortable for older and disable guests. It also has Wi-fi for those who want to take their laptops. The bar has an excellent range of drinks and draft beers' at reasonable prices.
I congratulate the staff at Britney for such a wonderful experience, the food, entertainment, bingo, raffles, bar, etc. exceeded my expectations.
Well done Grand Lodge Management Committee for such a wonderful investment.
Happy New year to you all.
John & Tricia Thompson, New Forest, Hampshire, UK.

I really must concur with the above comments my wife and i have just spent two weeks on convalesence at Britany MAGIC, There are a few glitches,BUT i'm sure that if GROVE HOUSE allowed the managers to manage Janet & Brian could have an absolout winner for the order. Well done. Bro Mick Jones R.O.H William Fagg Lodge S/EAST KENT. Just a bit of experience in the catering trade.45 years as chef, catering manager and Hotel Owner.

We've just come back from a weekend at Britney House myself Bro Sid Porter ROH and my buffess Colleen together with Bro Richard Lockwood ROH and his buffess Jean. We all agreed it was excellent value for money, lovely rooms good food and very friendly staff. We only hope that they get the new TV's they need to enable those that are on convalescence to help enjoy their time there, even if when they're in their rooms. Come on Grand Lodge cough up! Can we have some more information regarding Britney House on the Site please. Location, Cost, booking procedure, parking arrangements, things to do in area etc. Excellent that Bros on convalescence have the oppertunity to mix with visiting Bros and their partners. Sounds ideal for a short break.
